SJ Choi - Violin, Viola

Violinist So Choi was born in Seoul, Korea, where she began formal violin study at the age of 4. She graduated from Sang Myung University, Seoul Korea. She has served as a violin teacher and instructor in Yongsan Junior Orchestra and many other youth orchestras in South Korea. She has a master degree with violin performance at Rowan University. She completed violin pedagogy courses at the Royal Conservatory of Music and Pro Violin Institution in German. So has over ten years experience in teaching private lessons, group lessons and orchestra teaching. In addition to teaching in New Jersey Music of School, Cherry Hill, she is currently a teacher at the Settlement music school and Thoma Holme Elementary school in Philadelphia. So Choi has been a dedicated member of the PSNJ Orchestra for 10 years, bringing passion and talent to every performance. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. So Choi strongly believes that musical instruments are a lifelong friend that brings joy and comfort. She hopes to share this heartfelt connection with her students and inspire them to cherish their musical journey
